About the Role
Develop and implement strategic plans for first mile and last mile delivery operations, considering factors such as delivery routes optimization, customer demand patterns, and resource allocation.
Maintain constant communication with drivers, couriers, and delivery partners to provide updates, instructions, and assistance as needed. Coordinate with various stakeholders to resolve delivery-related issues promptly.
Utilize tracking systems and software tools to monitor the movement of delivery vehicles in real-time. Keep track of delivery statuses, locations, and any deviations from planned routes.
Analyze delivery performance metrics, including on-time delivery rates, average delivery times, and customer satisfaction scores. Generate reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost reduction or efficiency enhancement.
Proactively identify potential issues or delays in delivery operations, such as traffic congestion, route deviations, or vehicle breakdowns. Work collaboratively with the other team members to address problems and implement solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in any major; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or customer service roles preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computer systems, software applications, and tracking tools.
